Located at Sunset Park, 85 W 1800 N, Sunset, UT. SD-10A.

Former Sunset Civil Defense/Fire siren. This siren was installed in 1956, being used to alert the fire department, and for civil defense drills. It was shut off in 1978 after a pager system was installed. Sometime in early 2021, the siren was recommissioned to run daily at noon for one minute. It was decommissioned later that year, due to noise complaints. The current status of this siren is contested. The city desk claims it is shut off for good, but I have not been able to confirm this with maintenance or the council. Photos dated 07/17/2021.
