West Ogden Park

Located at West Ogden Park, 740 W 25th St, Ogden, UT. Model 5AT.

Former Weber County Civil Defense siren. This siren was installed in 1961, alongside a system of nine others in the county. These sirens were used for civil defense drills, with the last reported test occurring in 1977. The sirens performed poorly, and were abandoned, with a majority within Ogden being removed. One siren from this system was donated to the Firefighter's Museum in Grantsville. Photos dated 01/22/2022.
